The ESP32's internal ADC can vary due to temperature, and if the ADC is not trimmed correctly, the self-identification process can fail because the reported voltage is out of range. This seems to affect only a small number of devices.
Solution: We have available room between product ID arrangements to increase the tolerance on any given product ID. If we continue to get reports, we can add additional mitigations.
