Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.99.3 (user setup)
  • OS Version: Win11 (24H2 26100.3775)

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install Windows Terminal
  2. Set: 
    "terminal.external.windowsExec": "%LocalAppData%/Microsoft/WindowsApps/wt.exe"
  3. Run "open new external terminal"
  4. New app window is never focused

@albertosantini Yeah that was mine, I forgot to mention an important step, and @meganrogge closed it because without that step it does in fact work fine.
