When referencing @modelcontextprotocol/sdk/transports/stdio.js (a non-existent file) via a relative or module path, no error or warning is thrown—even though the file doesn’t exist. This silently fails, making debugging difficult.

I'm not sure if this can be solved by sharing opinions. To me it sounds more like an unexpected behavior that should work. Therefore I would treat this as an issue instead of a discussion. Converted this into an issue here #28909
