Setting up Grafana Alerting

Hi,

Not sure if I should be posting this to a Grafana forum or PgWatch, so my apologies to start with if I've posted on the wrong forum. Please delete the post if need be.

I am just wanting to know if there is a step by step example about setting up alerting for PgWatch+Grafana for PostgreSQL?
I am looking for something 'basic' to start with like whether a PostgreSQL database is up or down or has been stop/started.
I am also wanting to setup a customized alerting but based on a select of record from a day, for example select today from blah and then send an alert based on what the data is?
