I want to have a way to tell a browser that it should not read and export the content of a web page. I basically want to be able to guarantee that the content is secure and only readable by the person the web page was served to.
There are some very good reasons for this want.
You can ask an AI tool, like CoPilot in Microsoft Edge, a question about the current web page you're on, and it will read it, send the content to Microsoft, and Microsoft will send back a generated answer. Microsoft says that, when you use their AI tools, the content gathered this way will become their property.
Suppose an administrator logs into a payroll system using a normal internet connection. This system contains lots of private information: Names, addresses, bank details, tax details, salaries, etc. Now this administrator is not very tech savvy, and thinks that this AI works locally, and doesn't export any information, and uses it frequently. The administrator is now in breach of European privacy law because sharing of private information is not allowed unless permission is given.
This is different from stopping robots from reading web pages. Robots cannot log in.
